PRESIDENT

Dr. Khalid R. Chaudry (DDS, OPR(cert), FADI)

Heartfelt Congratulations to Dr. Khalid R. Chaudry, DDS, OPR (Cert), FADI, on assuming the role of President of Dental APPNA! 🌟

Dr. Chaudry is a highly respected clinician, educator, and leader whose dedication to dentistry and community service truly exemplifies excellence.

A proud graduate of de’Montmorency College of Dentistry, Lahore, he completed his Ohio State advanced standing program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, along with one year of certified training in Oral Pathology and Radiology at the USC School of Dentistry, Los Angeles. As a Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International (FADI), his credentials reflect advanced training, professional distinction, and an unwavering commitment to the highest standards of patient care.

Dr. Chaudry has also demonstrated exceptional humanitarian service, volunteering on dental missions in Afghanistan 🇦🇫, Peru 🇵🇪, Mexico 🇲🇽, with Medical Missions International,Indian Health Services, and Remote Area Medical (RAM) programs.

A longstanding contributor to Dental APPNA’s mission, Dr. Chaudry brings vision, integrity, and collaborative leadership to his presidency. We are confident his tenure will further advance education, mentorship, and service initiatives, strengthening our community and elevating the profession.

Dental APPNA proudly recognize Dr. Salman Malik, an exceptional clinician, educator, humanitarian, and Past President of Dental APPNA 2025.

Dr. Malik’s distinguished career is defined by his unique dual training, having earned his DMD from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and his MD from Stony Brook School of Medicine. With over 30 years of experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery, he brings exceptional expertise across a wide range of procedures, delivering comprehensive and thoughtful patient care. Beyond the clinic, he is deeply committed to education, mentorship, and service, inspiring both colleagues and the next generation of clinicians.

During his leadership, several impactful initiatives were launched, including:

VICE PRESIDENT

Syed Adnan Shah

Professor, Chair & Program Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Manitoba.
Vice President

Dental APPNA congratulates Dr. Adnan Shah, (BDS, MDS, FRACDS, FDSRCS, FFDRCS, FCPS, FDSRCPS, FRCDC, Diplomate ABOMS) , on his appointment as Vice President.

Dr. Shah earned his BDS from de’Montmorency College of Dentistry and and went on to complete advanced residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery leading to a Master of Dental Surgery in the United Kingdom. He also holds multiple international fellowships and certifications, including fellowships from surgical colleges in the UK, Australia, Ireland, and Canada, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, reflecting his broad expertise and commitment to excellence in surgical dentistry and education. He currently serves as Professor and Program Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Manitoba, where he is actively involved in education, research, and training future specialists.

For the past 17 years, Dr. Shah has led
annual medical and surgical missions to Pakistan, with a particular focus on providing care for complex pediatric surgical cases at the Children’s Hospital and Institute of Child Health, Lahore. His commitment to service and education has been widely recognized. In honor of his contributions, a main lecture hall at Fatima Jinnah Institute of Dental Sciences, Lahore the largest public-sector dental institution in Punjab was named after him last year.

Dental APPNA is proud to have Dr. Shah in its leadership team. His experience, dedication to patient care, and commitment to education and professional development will be invaluable as Vice President.

TREASURER

Dr Tahir Paul, DDS (TREASURER)

Dental APPNA congratulates Dr. Tahir Paul, DDS, on his appointment as Treasurer.

Dr. Paul is a highly respected pediatric dentist with over 30 years of clinical experience, widely known for his compassionate approach to children’s oral health and long-standing service to the profession. He completed his advanced training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of London and earned prestigious fellowships from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgery (Sydney) and the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), reflecting his commitment to excellence in pediatric dental care.

A founding member and one of the Past President of Dental APPNA, Dr. Paul has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization since its early years. He has also served on multiple committees of Central APPNA, contributing to broader organizational leadership and outreach.
Dr. Paul established a free Dental APPNA clinic in Sindh, demonstrating his deep commitment to humanitarian service and access to care. Since 2004, he has served families in the San Diego area and holds a senior staff position at Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego, where he continues to support complex pediatric and special needs cases.

Dental APPNA is honored to have Dr. Paul serve as Treasurer. His experience, leadership, and dedication to service are invaluable assets to the organization.

SECRETARY

Dr Saniya Bukhari, DDS (Gen Secretary)

Dental APPNA is pleased to introduce Dr. Saniya Bukhari, DDS, who will be serving as Secretary for 2026.

Dr. Bukhari completed her dental education at FMH College of Dentistry, Lahore, and later at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. During dental school, she was actively involved in student leadership and volunteer service, including serving as President of the Albert F. Staples Society and as a member of the Executive Committees of the International Student Organization (ISO) and the Muslim Health Professionals Student Association (MHPSA).

In recognition of her commitment to service and community care, she received the International College of Dentists (ICD) Student Humanitarian Award.

She has also supported Dental APPNA behind the scenes, particularly with outreach and social media efforts, and looks forward to continuing to serve the organization and its members in this role.
